Trauma-Informed
Group Therapy

You do not have to navigate your healing journey alone. Group therapy connects you with a supportive community of individuals facing similar challenges. These sessions provide a unique environment where you can share experiences, gain fresh perspectives, and practice new skills in a safe, social setting.

Benefits of the Group Environment

Group therapy offers advantages that differ from individual sessions. You benefit from:

  • Shared Experiences: Realizing others face similar struggles reduces feelings of isolation.

  • Diverse Perspectives: Hearing how others handle obstacles provides you with new ideas for your own life.

  • Social Connection: You build a sense of camaraderie and belonging within a confidential space.

  • Skill Practice: The group acts as a "living laboratory" where you can practice communication and boundary-setting in real-time.

Specialized Group Focuses

I facilitate groups tailored to specific needs and communities. My group offerings often focus on:

  • Trauma Healing: A structured environment for those working through past experiences using trauma-informed principles.

  • LGBTQ+, Polyamory, and Kink Support: Affirming spaces where you can discuss identity and relationship dynamics with people who truly understand.

  • Anxiety and Stress Management: Learning and practicing CBT and mindfulness techniques alongside your peers.

  • Adolescent and Teen Groups: Supporting young people as they navigate social pressures and emotional growth.

Facilitation and Safety

As your therapist, I act as a facilitator to ensure the group remains a respectful and confidential environment. I manage the flow of conversation so that every participant has the opportunity to contribute. We establish clear ground rules regarding privacy and interaction to protect the emotional safety of all members.

What to Expect

Group sessions are interactive and engaging. We use a mix of open discussion, shared learning experiences, and structured activities. You are encouraged to share at your own pace. Over time, the group becomes a powerful source of motivation and accountability, helping you maintain positive changes in your mental health.
